Privacy policy

Last updated September 26, 2026

This policy explains what information NoiseCurb (https://noisecurb.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep collection to the minimum needed to run and improve the site.

What we collect

Anonymous usage counts. When you read a guide, the site records simple counts such as a page view, how far down the page readers scroll, and which general source sent the visit (for example a search engine or a social site). These counts are stored without cookies, without your IP address and without any identifier that could single you out.

Messages you send. If you use the contact or advertise form, we store your name, email address, message and the IP address it was sent from, so we can reply and block abuse.

Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the page you signed up from. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to delete your address.

Cookies and third-party services

The site works without optional cookies. Where enabled and only after you accept in the privacy banner, we may use:

  • Google Analytics to understand traffic in aggregate.
  • Google AdSense or another ad network to show ads that keep the site free. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
  • Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used, with sensitive fields masked.
  • Pinterest, Meta or YouTube features, when a page embeds them or you share to them.

You can change your choice at any time with the “Privacy choices” link in the footer. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google before personalized ads are shown.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. This includes residents of California and other US states with privacy laws, and people covered by the GDPR and UK GDPR. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money.

To make a request, email hi@noisecurb.com or use the contact page. We will respond within the time the law requires.

Children

The site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Keeping data

Messages are kept as long as needed to deal with them and then deleted. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Usage counts contain no personal information.

Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
